Short History of AGC&M

capitolAgnes A. Guido and Louis L. Guido, Jr., the CEO and CFO of AGC&M, have been in the construction business since the late 1950s, working with Guido Brothers' Construction Company. Guido Brothers' Construction was one of the major contractors involved in building and erecting Hemisphere Park and adjacent pavilions for the 1968 Hemisphere World's Fair in San Antonio, TX.

At the age of 11, Louis L. Guido, III, had the opportunity to participate in the world of construction first hand in the family business. Ever since that time, Louis III has been involved in the construction industry.

Louis III started in the automatic gate industry in 1997 by building wild-game proof fencing with automatic gates as an independent contractor. Louis III became   employed by a  local gate and access company and while there developed programs such as access control software training for management companies. After being employed there for approximately one year and becoming unhappy with the low   level of customer service being provided, Louis III decided to use his experience   from his construction background and extensive knowledge of the gate access and security world to start a company.

Automatic Gates, Cameras, and More has in business since 2003.   Within  AGC&M's first three months of business, we were selected as a sub-contractor for ExxonMobil World Headquarters in Irving, TX. AGC&M installed six HySecurity operators, consisting of four swing riser operators and two 222-EX slide operators, at the ExxonMobil site.
Since that date, AGC&M has expanded exponentially in this industry, including gaining the privilege of becoming the main gate contractor with substantial entities such as San Antonio Water Systems (SAWS), BudCo Distributing, Kerrville Municipal Airport, and other major government facilities from the 911 Response Center in Austin, Texas, all the way down to the Mexican border for the US Border Patrol.

AGC&M currently provides maintenance service and repairs for over 75 HySecurity operators along with several other brands of gate operators and access control systems.
AGC&M is also state licensed as a security contractor for alarms, cameras, and electronic access control systems. Our state license number is B14176. With this license we have installed many camera systems for customers including the US Border Patrol and other local municipalities.

We here at Automatic Gates, Cameras, and More are very proud of our history; we are a company that values integrity and high standards, and through hard work and exceptional customer service, we will continue to be innovative leaders in our industry and community.
